SNEAK PEEK
It was a perfect day. The sun was shining and the birds were singing their happy songs. The colors of the trees and grass that surrounded them were brilliantly colored with hints of green and yellow. A slight breeze was coming from the north carrying with it heavenly scents of roses. It was so potent it was like it was calling to the girls. The bright sunlight bounced off of the ground below, leaving an array of shadows dancing.
Flowers seemed to be swaying around them as they walked. Once again the wind picked up, carrying with it a familiar voice...
"Together or apart
It will tear your heart
It must come to be
You sisters three"
The wind stopped for a moment as the sky grew dark. Funnels of clouds formed all around the girls as they stood there dumb struck. Lightning struck the ground with a thunderous clap that shook the sisters to the ground.
"I will not allow any fighting." Screamed the voice.
"It is time for you to feel what it is like to be without..."
Suddenly, lightning struck the ground again with a light so bright it blinded the girls. When Mae opened her eyes and the sky cleared, she realized that her sisters were gone...
"Nancy...Marsha" she yelled, but received no response.
"Can you hear me...where are you? Mae stood there frozen trying as hard as she could to hear her sisters, but to no avail. They were gone.
